David Larson

Former PhD Student

David Larson received his Ph.D. in Physics in 2006 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is now a post-doctorate fellow at John's Hopkins University and a member of the WMAP science team.

Ian O'Dwyer

Former PhD Student

Ian O'Dwyer received his Ph.D. in Astronomy in 2005. He then received a National Research Council and NASA post-doctoral Fellowship, which he held at Caltech and the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. He now holds a full time position at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

Greg Huey

Former Post-Doctorate

As a postdoc in Ben's Group Greg worked on theoretical models of the Dark Energy, and CMB data analysis--in particular parameter estimation, and power spectrum estimation from the WMAP data. He is currently a postdoc at Caltech.

Arun Lakshminarayanan

Former non-PhD Graduate Student

Arun Lakshminarayanan worked with Ben while pursuing his M.S. He had worked on global Bayesian analysis of CMB data. He went on to do M.S. in Computer Science at Georgia Tech specializing in Distributed Systems. He now works as a developer for Microsoft Corporation.

Michael Schneider

Undergraduate Student

Michael Schneider worked as an undergraduate researcher with Professor Wandelt from the fall of 2001 to the spring of 2003. In May 2003 he was awarded the "Outstanding Senior Thesis - Theory" award from the UIUC physics department for their work on constraining non-Gaussianity in the CMB. Michael is now entering his fifth (and last) year of graduate school at UC Davis where he is finishing a thesis on dark energy constraints from cosmic shear, advised by Lloyd Knox.

Robert Tandy

Robert Tandy worked with Ben as a member of the NSF's Research Experiences for Undergraduates program in the summer of 2006. He is now a graduate student Yale University.

Laura Chu

Laura Chu recently received her BFA in Industrial Design at UIUC. She is continuing her studies at UIUC as a graduate student in Library and Information Science. Laura designed the new website.
